And All Under $25!
You've been doing your Christmas shopping since July, got amazing deals during Labor Day. And you are pretty much done!
You deserve an A! But if you want to get an A+ let's get some great little items for the ones that are new to makeup (Moms), experts (teenage niece) or for those on the go (you, Yes! I'm talking about you!).
So, what's the perfect stuffer? It must be small, meaningful and useful! most of these can be found at your local Sephora (favorite store), Etsy & Nordstrom!
Buying makeup can be stressful, especially when purchasing for someone else, is it the right shade? Will it match? Can I get a receipt in case they hate it? I get it, I've been doing makeup for years and you are not alone feeling this way. I still return items, this list shows some of my favorite products, whatever you get will bring a smile for sure!
$20 for a sponge?? It sounds crazy, but it truly is a game changer, foundation goes on smoothly. Be sure to damp the beauty blender before use and wash it every other day.
While working with Julep (who is based in Seattle) I was shocked with their products, the way they listen to us "the consumers" they show you how one color will look in different shades of skin, I got to use "5th ave & Broadway" on set and man... perfect shade for eyes but if you feel like you want to conquer the world on a Monday morning I would use the gold tone for a perfect highlight, I used the pink shade to brighten up my eyes... even my under eyes. I have used it on shoots, weddings and this will not leave my kit! As for the one in my own makeup bag... well I usually have to chase my daughter to be able to use it!
While doing my weekly routine of "Etsy window shopping" on Sunday nights, I somehow stop at a Seattle based shop "Madi May Design" and fall in love with her bags, my favorite is the blue waxed canvas bag! the fuchsia is super cute as well.
As a makeup artist, I have used many eyelash curlers and this one is by far my number 1!
1-Easy to use.
2- Fits different eye shapes.
3- A few squeezes and your lashes will be ready!
You don't need to worry about damaging your lashes in any way!
Oh, those Mink lashes!!! Beautiful yet to scary!!!. We spend 10 min looking around, we grab some, walk around Sephora and put them right back! We don't have the courage to actually purchase them, so why not purchase it for someone and give them the chance! I usually go for Huda Beauty lashes or Velour lashes.
Bobbi Brown bestselling author and International makeup artist who believes in natural beauty! I can't believe this book is $15!!!It's hardcover book, 120 pages with some many tips that will teach you how to easily apply eye makeup. The book goes over the basics, how to get the look!, eye makeup for those who wear glasses and more! This is a must have and did I mention... only $14.95??
Mascaras tend to last for about 2-3 months, depending on how much you use them. So getting one as a gift is a blessing! I usually go for Loreal voluminous it goes from $5-10 (depending on the store you go to). If you want to try something "brand name" get " Too Faced Better than sex waterproof mascara" $12-23.
Nice coverage with one layer, but if you add a few coats be ready to rock some thick long lashes. You have been warned!
Not much to say about this "eraser", This product is for everyone! It will remove your makeup by just adding warm water, but it does remove my makeup! Trust me there's no better feeling than coming home and washing your face and be makeup free! If you are still questioning this purchase, imagine all the savings from not having to buy more "makeup remover wipes"!!
Another goodie from Etsy! I love them so much I will be getting them for my two wedding shows next year.
Who doesn't want their own personalized compacted mirror?
As for the last item... I will have to go with this travel sized powder, it's a fine, colorless powder. The velour sponge is so fluffy, it gets in the right places to set your makeup (around your nose, under your eyes).
What I love the most is that the powder actually melts onto your skin and it will make you still have a glow without making you look cakey!
That's it, guys! I hope this list helps you find the right products and it makes it easy to pick something fun for your stockings!
Happy Holidays
