Planning your wedding and already thinking of your honeymoon?
Girls!!! It’s March and I’m still blogging (yaaaay)!
First able I want to say… Happy International Women’s day! (a day late, oops!)
If you are reading this, let me tell you something- you go, girl! You are beautiful, strong, and you are rocking on! You are the base of everything. Without you, nothing would be possible!
This time, I wanted to talk about a few places I love and happen to talk a lot about at trials (wedding trials). Sometimes I visit these places with my husband, and sometimes alone. When I need to restart myself I need a good place to center me. So if you are feeling tired, drained by making so many decisions, wedding-related or just life in general, keep reading!
I have many favorites in my life, three of those favorites are my cats! My first favorite is Tony; a black cat with a full, fluffy tail, and rambunctious personality. My other favorite cat is my black, tiny, shy girl, Ashley. Thirdly, my other favorite cat is my other boy, Pippin; a black cat who is oh-so- proper and has no tail! I love them all & all are my favorite, so deciding my favorite place was almost as hard… You know I couldn’t possibly choose just one, so here are a few!
1- Wellspring treehouse, Ashford WA
This place was a dream come true! I always wished to have a treehouse, and here we got a patio full of flowers and plants…not quite a treehouse, but definitely still amazing! At Wellspring, you will have the quietest places. You will find yourself reading books one after the other while you swing on the hammock in the shade. The day seems to be longer, you walk around and all you see are flowers and all the green! Beautiful and tranquil place!!
Tip- get some pie at the Cooper Creek Inn & restaurant...absolutely delish!
2- Cave Bin, Quincy WA
I've been here many times since they hold weddings, however last year I got the chance to stay over while we got our anniversary pictures done by Blue Rose photography. This place was warm with amazing lighting. If you get the chance to book a yurt, do it! It comes with everything you need! At night you can see a sky full of stars and a clear blue sky in the morning. We woke up around 7 am and we did not need to filter our pictures! We looked amazing at 7 in the morning!!!
Tip- Bring your iPad and lots of snacks if you are looking to be lazy!
3- The Lodges on Vashon, Vashon Island WA
This place in Summertime is the best! Be ready to relax and do nothing! And by nothing, I mean be ready to sign up to go for a run in the morning, experience something a little different in a refreshing outdoor shower, and check out their website for more fun. This place is within walking distance to their farmers' market. This place is so relaxing... you will leave hoping to retire on this island...I know I do!
Tip- be ready to enjoy everything vegan! Just do it, visit Pure Organic Kitchen & Juicery for a flavor filled pick-me- up.
4- Mountain Home Lodge, Leavenworth WA
This place is the most romantic of them all! If you are like me and want privacy, a place that
is quiet, a fireplace and knowing that it’s snowing outside, this is the place to go! Front St is 10 min away, you will find all types of foods and drinks in this quaint little town.
Tip-Check out SOUTH Leavenworth and enjoy a few drinks!
5- The Inn, Langley WA
Last one! If you are looking for a waterfront view, this is the place! Fireplace, TV, and of course a private patio to enjoy the view! We pretty much like to wake up get ready and walk around. We usually want coffee so we don’t act like zombies after that everything takes time! We walk around and find places to eat, grab a drink, enjoy ice cream!
Tip- bring your own sunscreen... It will save you from a scavenger hunt once you’re there!
Well, I hope this blog can be helpful when you need a break! And if you know of places I should visit, I’d love to hear from you! (FYI I’m not good at camping or sweating)
