One of the main myths is to book a trial a few months before your wedding, and then book your artist, well that's just not how it works anymore. 

If you follow makeup artists on social media, you will notice many of them tell you to "get in touch if you want to reserve your wedding date" and I agree! New makeup artists get booked by those with smaller budgets (I started as a newbie 10 years ago and trust me I was busy busy busy!). Now as someone who offers a more personal service, I normally get booked within a year to 5 months in advance. As you can see we all get booked! We all cover different areas of the industry and cater to different needs. Yes, I can assure each of us loves what we do, but just remember you are investing on your perfect day.
