Hi, Yessie here!! If it's your first time visiting my blog. I am a Pro Makeup Artist here in Seattle, I cater to everyone that loves love, and wants to feel radiant & confident!
This post will give you insight on what to wear and what not to wear and the WHY behind it!
One thing everyone wants is to experience a cozy morning, we all envision big windows with you know all those amazing views of downtown. If we are lucky we get to see mountains covered in fresh snow or just the amazing water with friendly faces popping here and there (seals). Having coffee/ tea... let's be real, we are still dreaming of getting that Starbucks drink with "Bride" on it! snacks here and there, and champagne for the special moment.
Now, girls! This can happen but as I mentioned if a few posts THINGS ALWAYS HAPPEN! Even with instructions, people forget to be on time! forget to be ready... When they get to my chair or my team sometimes I find they never got to read the instructions that I so hard work on, but don't worry my team and I are here for you!!!
We still see girls with last nights makeup on, hoodies, or that friend who has so much to do they don't even know where they are, I always confirm who will be next and give them a reminder "Babe #1" you are next for makeup with me, please wash your face, remove your leather jacket and have your pictures ready. My team is on it!
Why is this so important to me?
For the best makeup application, I like to see your beautiful face, neck, and shoulders! But you may be thinking, it’s not summer and we will be freezing! I get it, but in order to color correct and find the right tones, I like to see it all!
It’s been a few times where clients just didn't want to remove their coats, and surprise SURPRISE! their neck (a part of the body that never gets color) and face match but when they put on their strapless/ low back dress we can tell they were in Cabo for at least a week! And yes, I must ask them to sit down and get more tones to match. But at this point, the photographer is here, and I have to focus on the final touches for the bride. I seriously hate when this happens!
This also affects the hair department! That loose bun that we perfectly created now is being crushed by the blanket you have on, ok I am being a little dramatic... but I see it all the time, hair getting out of place, waves losing their shape because of what they wear.
So my goal today is to sell you on planning your morning outfit!
I know! One more thing to plan... But hear me out :)
Pros for using a plain white top-
- Everyone already has one
- You can always find them at your local Target
- Price- Less than $20
- Everyone looks cohesive in pictures
Pros for matching sets-
- They are freaking cute!
- This can be their day of present (It is a thing)
- Pictures are more fun!
- Easy to find sets at Target, Etsy, and even Amazon
Things to avoid-
- Weird colors, stick within your color palette.
- Heavy material
- Hoods
- Anything that looks tight
So let's avoid having you miss on the fun moments, you know mimosa time and all the lunch goodies!
Be ready for all those extra compliments!
As always I hope this post is helpful! Now tell your Bridesmaids to wear a loose tank top or go all out with matching sets and let me know what you are planning to do, your comments might be helpful to others.
